Loading Dock/Freight Elevators

The Loading Dock areas and/or delivery entrance is located on Terry Avenue. Loading Dock hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays. Scheduling of Loading Dock access on the weekend is done through the Property Management office.

The Loading Dock bay height is 12’ 8” and the vehicle length is restricted to 25 feet. A pedestrian ramp to the upper level of the Loading Dock is available.

The Loading Dock is reserved for loading and unloading of trucks and vans. Parking of personal vehicles is permitted only as designated for specific use with prior approval from the Property Management office. Vehicles blocking access to the garbage compactor or parked in unauthorized areas will be subject to towing. Delivery parking in the Loading Dock is limited to twenty (20) minutes unless prior approval is obtained from the Property Management office.

All deliveries should be signed by the Dock Manager then delivered to the designated suite. Do not leave deliveries, pallets or other packing products on the Loading Dock. Property Management is not responsible for items left at the Loading Dock.

Persons with small carried parcels which do not require the use of a hand truck should use the passenger elevators, not the freight elevator.

All hand trucks, delivery carts or other material handling equipment must be equipped with rubber tires/wheels and side guards and are restricted to the freight elevator only. Hand trucks, delivery carts, and large hand carried parcels of any kind are not permitted in the passenger elevators.

Use of hard-wheeled dollies, carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or similar equipment is not permitted in the main lobby and any such delivery attempts through the main entry will be directed to the Loading Dock. Because of potential damage to the main lobby flooring, very limited use of hand trucks with pneumatic wheels may be used in the main lobby to transport smaller items too heavy or awkward to carry.

Masonite must be placed on floors as necessary to accommodate heavy deliveries and/or furniture moves.

When moving bulky materials, office furniture, or equipment in or out of the building, please contact the Property Management office for planning assistance.

Freight Elevator
The freight elevator is located on the north side of the building and is in operation during building business hours. It is accessible from the Loading Dock, Levels 1-14, and Level A in the parking garage. The freight elevator must be used for deliveries.

The freight elevator may be periodically closed for routine maintenance on Fridays between 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The freight elevator has a weight limit of 50,000 lbs. The Property Management office must be informed in advance when heavy items/materials are to be transported.

The service elevator from the Loading Dock to Level G has a similar weight limit of 50,000 lbs. and may periodically be closed for routine maintenance as well.
