Transportation
There are several options available to tenants for public transportation.
The Metro bus stop closest to the building is located at Ninth Avenue and Jefferson Street. Metro buses directly serving this location are Numbers 3, 4, 60, 193 (formerly 941), 211, and 303. Trip routes and schedules are available online at http://metro.kingcounty.gov/ or at the Commuter Information Center on Level 1 of Harborview’s Center Tower.
Taxis can be requested by contacting the Security desk at 206-744-6591 or by calling Farwest Taxi at 206-622-1717 or Yellow Cab at 206-622-6500.
Bicycle Storage
Bicycle storage is located on Level A in the parking garage near the elevators. A card reader provides access to the bicycle storage area which includes single and double level storage racks. Please see the Badging office to gain access. Please remember to lock your bicycle and take all valuables with you. Bicycles should not be left for extended periods of time. If your bike needs to remain overnight in the bicycle storage area, please let Property Management or Security know. Bicycles are not permitted inside the building or elevators.
Building Services
Outgoing mail is picked up Monday through Friday in the mailroom, located in Room S13 on Level S by the Loading Dock, throughout the day, with the last pick-up at 3:00 p.m. Outgoing mail is routed through the main mailroom of the Harborview Campus.
Federal Express (FedEx), DHL Worldwide Express, and United Parcel Service (UPS) overnight parcels may also be placed in the mailroom on Level S with the last pick-up at 3:00 p.m. For more information regarding mail services, please call Harborview Campus mailroom at 206-744-5304.
Wright Runstad & Company promotes recycling in all our managed buildings. A building-wide recycling program has been implemented for paper, cardboard, plastic and aluminum products used on the premises, as well as for composting of food waste and recycling of styrofoam.
Showers and Lockers
Showers and lockers are located on Level G. The showers are available 24 hours a day by badge access only. The locker rooms are secured by a card reader; to gain access to the locker room, please request your manager contact Harborview Access Control at dpsacc@uw.edu to have access added to your badge. The lockers and showers operate on a first come first serve basis. Personal items should not be left for extended periods of time in the lockers. Property Management is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please notify Security to report any lost or missing items.
Lactation Rooms
There are two lactation rooms located at Harborview Medical Center. The room numbers are 7EC-01 and 8MB-891. These rooms have a sign-up sheet and are on a first come first serve basis. Contact the Ninth & Jefferson Building Security desk at 206-744-6591 for additional information.
